2025 was a great year in the Felta Creek Vineyard despite mother nature’s attempts at sabotage! The team scrambled to harvest Zinfandel grapes at peak ripeness, perfect for 1776, before a dreaded mid-harvest rainstorm. Mission accomplished! The harvested fruit was dark and concentrated with a rich, complex flavor and optimal sugar ripeness.
We took the opportunity this week to sample the 2025 1776 in its infancy. We are elated to report that we have another good one on our hands with production estimated at about 125 cases. A little less than previous years, but better than the alternative.
