Whether Primitivo and Zinfandel grapes are the same variety is still debated by viticulturists. However, through DNA tracing it appears that Primitivo is either the father of Zinfandel, or an intimate mailman. This popular wine elicits brambly fruit and warm earth toned spices on the finish.
